Medical Aid in Dying
When you are wanting to feel some control over what happens at the end of your life, you have a choice.
The Colorado End of Life Act was passed in 2016. Since then, there have been over 400 Coloradans who have chosen to experience their death on their own terms. While using MAID is not easy, the guidelines we need to follow are somewhat simple. I am honored to answer questions, and if needed, assist in this process.

Criteria
-
You must be a Colorado resident.
-
You must have a terminal disease. If you have qualified for full Hospice, you automatically meet this criteria.
-
You need two physicians to corroborate your disease and prognosis.
-
You need a support system, whether it is friends or family.

While money should not be a barrier, it has to be part of the discussion. The medication can cost between $500-$1000. Consultations with physicians can cost $500-$3000. However, please do not let this deter you, I would like to work with patients and families to make this affordable. My current fee is $500 for the two visits, reviewing medical records, coordinating with the corroborating physician and writing the prescriptions. I also provide significant family support during this time as well.
